There's funny dreams in my head

I was fixing Kate's hair this morning and she started giggling so I asked her what was so funny and she said, "When I close my eyes, there's funny dreams in my head"

Clare

I usually swaddle Clare really tight when I put her to bed but this time I just layed her down while I went to get ready for church, when I came back she was all sprawled out, sound asleep.

Maggie

Maggie is such a sweet big sister! She entertains Kate and Davis so well. She is always coming up with games to play with them. Here she is showing them how to draw the characters from a book they were reading. Her new thing lately is putting them to bed. She helps them get their pajamas on, brush their teeth and reads them books, such a huge help. Cory went to put them in bed the other night and Davis said, "I want Maggie to do it!"

The Big Cookie

Emily had a friend over and they wanted to make cookies so I got the stuff out for them, turned on the oven and left the room. Emily called to me and asked if they could make one big cookie so I said sure. A few minutes later I peeked in the oven to check on the cookie and saw this big huge blob of cookie dough, I didn't think to tell them you have to flatten the cookie dough. So Cute!
Emily and Morgan with their beautiful cookie! We were able to flatten the cookie and it turned out great. They even shared with the rest of the kids.

Girls Night Out!

We had our first girls night out since I had Clare so it was very nice to get out of the house and have a break. Clare will take a bottle now so I was able to leave for 6 hours! We went to an Italian place called Brio and loved the little tea cup desserts you can see on the table. Shauna, Camille, Annie, Salem, Kim, Annie and I all ate too much food, chatted forever and then went to see The Women which is a really stupid movie but we had a blast!

Conner's Cross Country Meet

This is Conner's second year on the Cross Country team. They run after school every day and have one or two meets a week.
This was their second meet this year. They run 1 1/2 miles at the meet and 3 miles during most practices.

Clare's blessing day

We were able to have Clare's blessing while my parents were still in town. She wore the same dress that Emily, Maggie, and Kate wore for their blessing. It was also worn by 4 of her cousins.
Clare was not very cooperative for the pictures but we snapped a few anyway.

Conner and Pepa's birthday

Conner and Pepa share a birthday so it was fun for them to celebrate together.
Conner's favorite candy bar is Snickers so he told me he wanted a birthday cake with Snickers in it. I was able to find an ice cream cake that was a giant Snickers bar. Good choice Conner, it was yummy!
Conner's main gift was a nice suit that he and Cory went shopping for together but he did want the new Nerf gun for his collection to.

Conner received the priesthood

Conner's birthday was on a Friday night so my parents came up for the weekend and brought Will with them, Conner was very excited to have his best friend/cousin with him for this special event.
Bishop Brim came over to participate in Conner receiving the priesthood.
We are so excited for Conner to have this amazing gift and resposibility, he is excited to pass the sacrament on Sunday!
We were so happy my parents were able to make it after coming in July for Maggie's baptism, in August for Clare's birth and again in September for Conner. It's been an exciting few months.

Clare at 3 weeks

Clare loves to cuddle and definitely has enough people willing to hold her.
Emily is so good with Clare, she can calm her down and get her to sleep better than me.

Maggie loves to hold the baby whenever she gets a chance. She told me she was getting sleepy just looking at Clare.

First Day of School

Emily is starting 4th grade and Maggie is starting 3rd. They ride their bikes to school together everyday. They started sharing a room a few months ago and it has been fun to see them grow closer.
Kate started Kindergarten! She was so excited. I was thankful to be home from the hospital and recovered enough to be with her on her first day. We have half day kindergarten here so the 2 1/2 hours go by very quickly.
Conner is starting 7th grade and just loves school! ok maybe not but he doesn't complain too much!

Anna Clare has arrived!

I am finally jumping on the blog bandwagon and figured I should start with Clare's birth. We are so excited to have another little girl, she is only a day old here. She was born August 13th and weighed 8 lbs 7 oz. It is such a miracle and just as amazing with every child.
The kids were so excited to meet their new sister! My labor was longer than expected so they had to wait until the following day to come see her which did not go over to well. They were fighting about who got to hold her so we had to time them to make sure everyone got their share of baby time. Clare is in a bundling blanket, it kind of looks like a straight jacket, huh?
The delivery was long and the epideral didn't work right but no major complications and Clare is doing great. I was excited to have my parents in town. Pepa stayed at home with the kids and Mimi helped me through the delivery.

This was taken the first few days home from the hospital. I am very excited she takes a binky, hopefully she doesn't get sick of it!
